Internet Explorer 7 for XP Microsoft plans to offer a version of Internet Explorer 7 for Windows
XP. This idea is still in development but it may happen after the next
Vista release. A release of Windows Vista Beta 2 should be available to
anyone who wants to try it by March 2006. The final cut of Vista
should be available by November 2006, in time for Christmas.
Coloured drives from LaCie Normally, you could have a hard drive in any colour you wanted, as
long as it was black...and silver. Now LaCie have started releasing coloured
drives that fit together like leggo. Now available in red, white and blue,
the coloured drives are sure to appeal. Remember those science fiction
shows where memory crystals were multicoloured and no one really knew why?
Now we know!
Spyware - SpyAxe An affiliate of Spyaxe has started paying for pop up advertising on
various sites that results in your computer automatically downloading a
'windows message'. The message asks you to download a new spyware program
so that your computer will be protected. When you do this, and install
it, you instantly start receiving hundreds of spyware and adware from other
sources. Spyaxe does not admit any knowledge but has made available removal
tools. In some systems the removal tools don't work. If you believe your
computer has been infected with Spyaxe, it's time to contact Electronic
Desktop Solutions - 0414 229 669 in Sydney, Australia.
The future What to expect? Well, Xbox has a few thousand games coming out, VOIP
technology is taking off with broadband routers integrating VOIP ports
and internet ports, computers continue to get faster, Windows and other
programs get more and more bloated, and Google will be releasing their
new, free, online classifieds service which may integrate with adsense
when there's no other ads for particular words.
Hope you have a great Christmas and New Year and you'll see more news
from us in 2006.
