Nostradamus - the 16th century foreteller and astrologist. Sometimes spelt as Nostrodamus. Sometimes described as a wizard, sorcerer, dukun, soothsayer, psychic and fake. He predicted World War III in the early parts of the 21st century. Some translators believed that there would be WWIII in 2001. Based on other quatrains, the war was believed to come from the East.

Technically though he released a large series of quatrains describing future events that were written in such a vague way that scholars could never completely agree as to what they really meant. As a lot of the quatrains could apply for so many things that happened and a lot applied to so many events that didn't happen the blame was placed on the interpreters.

In any case there are many believers and many disbelievers. One thing is certain. He never predicted the end of the human race.

There are also no quatrains that specifically suggest Terrorist Attacks, Taliban, America under attack or the World Trade Centre. And because a lot of the quatrains can easily be recreated by people who like to send hoaxes, many junk emails currently circulating contain quatrains supposedly written by Nostradamus but actually being a rewriting of a passage regarding the Norman invasion.

Questions remain. Does Nostradamus' predictions and prophecies foretell Osama bin Ladin and the disaster on the World Trade Center? Is there anything on the FBI and their involvement with the Pentagon and terrorist attacks? Was the clairvoyant able to see World War 3 as we see it?
